Our 20th anniversary engagement ring upgrade shopping experience with Gem Diamond was fantastic. After reading a couple of diamond-buying books and browsing on-line I set off for what I anticipated as the seriously fun business of viewing diamonds, but disappointment followed. Untrained or manipulative salespeople and low-quality diamonds at high prices were everywhere. At a large engagement ring store, we were received the most bold-faced manipulation treatment: the salesman showed us terribly over-priced and under-quality diamonds and, after wasting much time ("Let me see what we have in the back." concluded with a fair (but still over-priced) stone, expecting us to cave in to his conclusion that this was The One and Only. I won't even talk about how shoddily a woman is treated when she's looking at diamonds alone! After hitting the malls, private jewelers, and large jewelry stores, we had not found the right combination of trustworthiness, good quality, and size maximization, until Gem Diamond. I found Gem Diamond listed on a website as an on-line jeweler with showroom. I contacted them, made an appointment, and met with Bryan to look at several diamonds. He was extremely knowledgeable (GIA certified), respectful, and truly interested in making sure I found a stone that made me happy. He has many diamond-viewing tools and analysis software for those interested in cut quality. Service and response were very good. We were able to purchase a well-cut, sparkly, quality diamond in a custom setting at a great on-line store price, with the comforting feeling of trusting the seller. I highly recommend Gem Diamond!

OK so now I am excited !! My wife really likes the ring, says she LOVES it..:). She has been wearing it and checking it out (with a critical eye) in various light conditions (and showing it off) for over a week. We had a local appraisal done yesterday and it was just as you represented. This guy is an Independent (GIA graduate gemologist) and seems to be very conservative with his appraisals so just matching the grading is probably significant. I provided no info until he had completed his appraisal then I described what inclusions should be present, including that the center stone inclusion should be partially hidden under the prong. From his comments I think he was impressed with the amount & type of information you had openly provided to me.

This has been a very good experience and I would highly recommend you to my friends or anyone. Gem Diamond is definitely my first stop for any future needs. You were very open and honest with the details of the stones and were willing to obtain and provide any additional data that I requested, without hesitation.
