The Jewel Jet Jewelry Steam Cleaner is the first and only device of its kind made specifically for home use. It is essentially the same system used by jewelry manufacturers all over the world, but scaled down for smaller capacity and for portability. It has plenty of capacity for home use- you can clean a good size jewelry collection in one session.

The Jewel Jet is simple to set up and very easy to use. Just fill it with 8 ounces of water and plug it in. In a few short minutes it is ready to use. Pressing the steam release button sends a burst of steam into your jewelry item penetrating even hard to reach areas and wisking away dirt and film.

Jewelry that is worn even occasionally builds up body oils, soap film, dust and debris that can diminish the luster of the metals and the sparkle of the gemstones. Jewelry that is worn daily, such as bridal jewelry will lose much of it's original beauty if not cleaned on a regular basis. Using a conventional home cleaning method is certainly better than not cleaning at all, but nothing will achieve the level of clean attained by using the Jewel Jet.

The first step is soaking the jewelry in a solution that will help to loosen and soften accumulated film and dirt. The Jewel Jet comes with a soaking container and brush for this step. Just add a little household ammonia to the fill line on the container and top off with warm water. Soak the jewelry for a period of a few minutes to several hours depending on how dirty the jewelry is. Use the included brush to manually remove as much of the dirt as possible. Now you are ready to blast away any remaining dirt with the Jewel Jet. *Note: certain jewelry items such as organic materials like pearl, coral, amber and ivory may not be safe to soak in ammonia. For these items we recommend a warm water solution with a small amount of mild soap, or a commercial cleaning solution specifically designed for these materials.

Grasp the jewelry securely with the included pair of rubber tipped tweezers and hit all areas of the item with strong bursts of steam. Be sure to concentrate on the underside of the jewerly, particularly targeting the bottoms of gemstones.

With adequate soaking and brushing and several well placed, aggressively delivered blasts from the Jewel Jet your jewelry will be gleaming like the day you took it out of the box!
